Laser Treatment 101

laser-skin-rejuvination

Wintertime is the perfect to time to consider doing a laser procedure. As we age, we continue to lose the ability to produce collagen in our skin, this is why lasers can be so helpful. Lasers stimulate collagen production helping the skin stay tighter, brighter, and more youthful.

We offer a beautiful variety of skin rejuvenation laser therapies. So how do we decide which treatment is best for you? Think about what your skin goal is. Do you have a lot of sun damage and hyperpigmentation? Do you have loose skin? Do you have fine lines and wrinkles? Or maybe you have all the above?

Let’s start with sun damage. Our IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) is great for those brown spots and red tones we develop over the years. This broad band of light is attracted or absorbed by discoloration on the skin—think sun damage and broken capillaries. IPL leaves your skin looking brighter and more evenly toned. Most clients need one to two treatments three to four weeks apart. Downtime is very minimal and clients are able to wear makeup the very next day.

If you are looking to improve the look of fine lines, loose skin, and maybe even acne scars, then a Microneedling treatment with Radio Frequency energy can be the perfect option for you. Like IPL, you’ll experience minimal downtime and can wear make-up the very next day. Each tiny needle is the transportation device for RF energy. This heat stimulates collagen production, which helps create tighter, younger-looking skin. You can expect collagen production to continue for up to 3 months. Studies have shown that three to four treatments spaced four weeks apart give the best results.

Our CO₂ micro fractional laser is our most intensive treatment, addressing sun damage, fine lines and wrinkles, scarring, and more. This laser takes your skin from looking tired and dull to refreshed, smoother, and more radiant. It delivers a therapeutic matrix of tiny beams of light energy to the top and mid layers of the skin with minimal discomfort and manageable downtime. You’ll notice softening of fine lines and wrinkles, reduction of age and sunspots, and new collagen production for up to 6 months. Clients can expect a few days of social downtime and visible improvement within one to two weeks.

For all of these laser treatments, we include a topical numbing cream. Most people find the procedures comfortable with minimal downtime. No matter which laser you choose during these winter months, our team will ensure you’re cared for every step of the way, leaving you with beautiful, healthy-looking skin.
