Why You Need the LightStim LED Bed in Your Life

Introducing the LightStim LED Bed, otherwise known as the lifechanging treatment you didn’t know you needed.

Because this treatment is often misunderstood or confused with others, we’re here to break it down to basics: what it is, what it does, how it works, and more! By the end of this blog post, you’ll have all the info you need, so you can schedule at our Fort Collins medical spa.

Let’s go:

What exactly IS the LightStim LED Bed?

To put it simply, the LightStim LED Bed uses multiple wavelengths of light, otherwise known as red light therapy, to increase your blood circulation and reduce inflammation – ultimately, allowing your body to relieve pain faster than normal.

Pretty cool, right?

Typically, this gentle and non-invasive treatment is used for muscle soreness, accidents and sports injuries, backaches, arthritis, and stiffness, but it can also be helpful in protecting against cardiovascular disease, heart attacks, and strokes.

That’s not where the benefits end, though!

LightStim LED Bed Benefits

When it comes to LightStim LED Bed therapy at our medical spa in Fort Collins, we have only good things to say. The treatment itself is pain-free and comfortable, and the results are magic.

Some of the more obvious benefits to this FDA-approved treatment include…

  • Relief from pain
  • Accelerated wound healing
  • Reduced bruising, redness, and swelling
  • Protection from UV damage, cardiovascular disease, heart attacks, strokes, and free radicals
  • Increase in cell’s production of ATP (the body’s fuel source)
  • Decreased exercise-induced muscle fatigue

Not to mention, the treatment is a relaxing way to rest and de-stress. You simply lay in the bed, and let the light do the hard work for you.

Take it from some of our tried and true LightStim LED-lovers:

Client Testimonials

“I’ve had back pain since I got out of the service ten years ago, and I’ve tried everything I could think of to relieve the pain to no avail. Some relief here and there, but it was always a chore and I was always finding myself buying some other expensive product off the shelf. Tens unit, heating pads, back braces, creams, creams, creams… all provided LITTLE relief.

And then I met the wonderful Amanda, and she suggested that I try her LED therapy bed. I was on the fence about it though because I had tried LED therapy before. But it was expensive, it was only fifteen minutes, and it was with these uncomfortable pads that only provided a few days of relief at best. So, Amanda finally got me to come in.

Now, as a man, I’ve never been to any beauty spa, health spa, any kind of spa, so I wasn’t sure what to expect… but it makes sense that, if they have a product that works, it’s going to show. Well, it showed. The LED bed is the bees knees. I listened to my music on provided head phones, the bed was warm and comfortable, had the LED visor over my face… then I started dreaming…. I’m on a beach, warm sun, music playing… it felt amazing. I think I had a smile on my face the whole time I was in there.

After the treatment was done, there was immediate relief. Tingling sensation all over my body. As good as it felt though, I knew the pain would be back in a few days. (Oh, I failed to mention that I was sore from working out days before)… well, the next day, all muscle soreness was GONE & back pain gone. I’m thinking, “Okay, this is too good to be true.” But, relief was there the day afterwards. And the day after that, and the day after that. No back pain in the morning when I wake up.

That’s the first thing I think of when I wake up now: I’m not in pain. Well, that treatment was over two weeks ago. Still no back pain.”

“My experience at Facetté was amazing.  I laid in the LightStim LED bed due to pain and swelling in my joints, mainly my knees.  Prior to getting in the bed, I could barely bend down fully.  After 40 minutes in the LED bed, I literally felt like a new person, and the next day I felt even better. I highly recommend the LED bed to anyone who is having pain in their muscles and joints.”

LightStim LED Bed FAQs

In order to feel completely at ease, we like to walk our clients through the details of the treatment and address any concerns. To save you some time, we’ve addressed some of the most frequently asked questions below:

How does this treatment affect the skin?

Although the word “LED” light might sound scary, it’s actually really great for your skin! In the same way that LightStim LED Beds are used to increase blood circulation and accelerate healing in muscle aches and soreness, they can also be used to improve the quality of the skin by targeting acne and aging skin. With several sessions, you’ll begin to notice a radiant glow to the skin.

Not to mention, this treatment protects you (and your skin) from harmful free radicals in the air, as well as UV damage.

Does this treatment work like a tanning bed?

While both LED Beds and tanning beds may look alike, that’s where the similarities end. Their functions are completely different – and so are the results!

Tanning beds use harmful UV rays to add color to your skin, whereas LightStim LED Beds use infared, dark red, and light red LED wavelengths to improve total body wellness.

How often should people use LED light therapy?

Every person is different, so the approach to LED therapy will differ as well. Depending on your personal wellness goals, we may recommend this treatment as little as 1x per week or as much as 5x per week.

Are the results permanent?

The results from LightStim LED Therapy are not permanent, but they are long-lasting! In order to maintain regular pain, however, you’ll need to come in regularly.

Why You Should Give it a Try

To be completely honest, the LightStim LED Bed sounds almost *too* good to be true, but we promise it isn’t!

Whether you’re struggling with acne, experiencing general muscle soreness, or trying to speed up injury recovery, this treatment is worth a try. Any aesthetician at our Fort Collins medical spa would be happy to answer any questions.
